Steps to Renew the DHA License

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) requires healthcare professionals working in Dubai to renew their licenses regularly to ensure they meet the necessary standards of competence and professionalism.

It is important to renew your DHA professional registration on time to avoid any penalties or consequences for practicing without a valid registration. Be sure to check the expiration date on your registration and start the renewal process early to allow enough time for processing. The license renewal process involves several steps, which I will outline below.

1. Check the renewal eligibility: Healthcare professionals should check their eligibility for license renewal on the DHA website, which has a section dedicated to licensing renewal. Professionals eligible to renew their licenses will receive an email notification from DHA.

2. Gather the required documents: Healthcare professionals should gather the necessary documents for renewal, including copies of their passport and visa, educational certificates, and any relevant work experience certificates. The DHA may also require proof of continuing education or professional development activities, such as attending conferences or completing courses.

3. Complete the online application: Once the documents are gathered, healthcare professionals should complete the online application for license renewal on the DHA website. The application will require personal information, contact information, and details about the healthcare professional’s qualifications and work experience.

Steps to apply online application:

  1. If you don’t have an account, you will need to create one before you can proceed.
  2. After signup or login, click on the Health Licensing Service icon to access the DHA Sheryan Portal
  3. Under your Sheryan dashboard, you can find your license status and option for renewal. You could renew before the 24 day is over Or join new facility
  4. Provide the necessary detail  in Application Form
  5. Review application Form before payment
  6. Make payment to submit the application. The application will be under review by DHA staff
    after successful payment. This process can take up to 10 working days.
  7. Once the application approved, an eligibility/registration letter will be issued under the ‘Closed’ tab of ‘My Application’.
  8. You can verify the certificate online. Enter the Pin and Barcode found at the lower right-hand corner of the page.

4. Renew Registration Fees: Healthcare professionals will need to pay a 200 AED fee to renew their licenses, which can be done online through the DHA website using a credit card or debit card.

5. Collect the renewed license: If the application is approved, healthcare professionals can collect their renewed license from the DHA office. The license will be valid for a certain period, typically between one and three years.

Please Note: if your License and Registration is canceled, you have to apply agin for self-assessment tools and get registered with the fulfillment of all the requirement
